Responsibilities:
- PT’s are expected to treat a full caseload of approximately 10 patients per day
- Evaluate each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment
- Analyze assessment results to identify functional problems and prioritize care needs with patient and family
- Set appropriate, measurable, functional goals with time frames to address the identified problems for the patient
- Determine plan for care, and/or appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve stated goals
- Initiate therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition
- Complete patient documentation appropriately and ethically using WebPT
- Be a team player, willing to pitch in and be an integral part of everyday clinical operations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing in the state of Texas
- Previous experience in pelvic health education through continuing education: Acceptable courses include Herman and Wallace and the APTA Pelvic Health Courses
- Treating pelvic health specific patients will not occur until at least a level 1 pelvic health course has been completed
- A strong desire to grow as a pelvic health PT and learn through mentorship in this specific specialty
- One or more years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience using manual therapy techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Problem solving and time management skills
- Good interpersonal and customer service, basic leadership skills, ability to teach others
